Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of quotelo.ca, our quote request process, and our content.
Last updated: June 7, 2026
1. About Quotelo
Quotelo ("we," "us," "our") operates the website quotelo.ca, a free platform that helps homeowners in the Greater Vancouver Area prepare structured information before requesting EV charger installation quotes, and connects them with local licensed electrical contractors. Quotelo is operated by Lucas Leong, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
2. What Quotelo Is and Is Not
Quotelo is an information and lead-organization platform only. We are not an electrical contractor, and we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any electrical work, installation, or related services. We do not provide electrical, legal, permit, rebate, tax, financial, or other professional advice. Any information on this site (including the EV Charger Guide and other resources) is for general educational purposes only and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional.
3. Quote Requests and Contractor Matching
When you submit a quote request through our Request Quotes form, you provide details about your property and project so that local licensed electrical contractors can prepare more accurate quotes. Quotelo does not independently verify contractor licensing. You are responsible for confirming that any contractor you engage is appropriately licensed through the BC Safety Authority (bcsa.ca) before authorizing any electrical work. We may share a summary of your project (without your contact information) with contractor partners. Your full contact details are shared with a contractor only after they confirm interest and only with your consent. We do not guarantee that any contractor will respond, that quotes will be accurate, that you will be eligible for any rebate or incentive program, or that any installation timeline will be met.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when submitting a quote request or contacting us. You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, to misrepresent your identity, or to submit false or misleading information.
5. No Guarantee / Disclaimer
The site, its content, and any tools (including the Free Tools section) are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and up to date but do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted. You are responsible for independently verifying information with licensed professionals, contractors, municipalities, utility providers, and relevant government authorities (including BC Hydro and BCUC where applicable) before making decisions.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quotelo and Lucas Leong shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, your reliance on any information provided, your interactions with any contractor matched through the site, or any work performed by a contractor. Any disputes regarding installation work, quotes, pricing, or contractor conduct are between you and the contractor directly.
By using this site, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quotelo and Lucas Leong from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the site, your interactions with any contractor, or any work performed by a contractor you connected with through Quotelo.
7. Intellectual Property
The Quotelo name, logo, website design, and original written content are the property of Quotelo / Lucas Leong and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
8. Third-Party Services
Our quote request form is powered by Tally (tally.so), a third-party form provider. By submitting the form, your information is also subject to Tally's own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services linked from or used on our site.
